Debashis Chatterjee opts to retire due to personal reasons as the CEO & managing director of LTIMindtree at the end of its 29th AGM on May 30, 2025.
LTIMindtree’s board has appointed Venu Lambu, currently serving as CEO-Designate, as the next CEO and managing director.
IT services firm LTIMindtree on Friday announced that its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Debashis Chatterjee, has decided to step down, citing personal reasons. His retirement will be effective at the conclusion of the company’s 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 30, 2025.
The company’s board of directors has appointed Venu Lambu, currently serving as CEO-Designate, as the next CEO and managing director. His appointment will take effect from May 31, 2025.
“Debashis Chatterjee has opted to retire due to personal reasons as the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of LTIMindtree at the end of its 29th AGM on May 30, 2025,” the company said in a statement.
To ensure a smooth transition, Chatterjee has been working closely with Lambu, aligning on strategic priorities and leadership continuity.
Chatterjee, who took over as CEO of Mindtree in 2019, led the company through its merger with L&T Infotech in November 2022, becoming the head of the combined entity, LTIMindtree.
Reflecting on his tenure, Chatterjee said, “Leading this organisation from its formative days has been an honour, and I take immense satisfaction in the foundations we’ve built for future success. I am confident that, under Venu’s capable leadership, LTIMindtree will continue to thrive and reach new milestones.”
