Brown’s post comes days after Lamar Jackson tried to influence the $7 million wide receiver to return to Baltimore. The two-time NFL MVP had posted a comment on one of his previous IG stories to instill a sense of nostalgia.

“Purple heart means Hollywood to the Ravens,” Jackson wrote.
The Ravens had drafted Hollywood Brown with the 25th overall pick during the 2019 NFL draft. He spent three seasons playing alongside Lamar Jackson and recorded 2,361 yards and 21 TDs receiving.
In 2022, Brown was traded to the Arizona Cardinals. Two seasons later, he joined the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year deal in 2024. That season, he played in just two games after suffering a sternoclavicular injury during the preseason. The Chiefs went on to lose their Super Bowl LIX showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Last March, Brown agreed to another one-year deal with Andy Reid’s team. He played in 16 games and recorded 587 yards and five TDs receiving. However, the Chiefs failed to qualify for the playoffs after finishing with a 6-11 record. The wide receiver is set to become a free agent next month.
On the other hand, Lamar Jackson also had an underwhelming campaign with the Baltimore Ravens last season. He suffered multiple injuries, limiting his playing time on the field. They missed the playoffs after finishing second in the AFC North with an 8-9 record.
The Ravens could use some depth in the wide receiver room to help Lamar Jackson and the offense. Zay Flowers was the only receiver with 500+ yards, finishing with 1,211 yards and five touchdowns. Tight end Mark Andrews came in second with 422 yards and five touchdowns receiving.

Hollywood Brown gets honest about leaving Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens
Last Friday, Hollywood Brown sat down for an interview with NFL broadcaster Bobby Trosset.
The wide receiver shared his thoughts on leaving Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. He said that he had no regrets about this decision.
“No, like I said, right there, mentally, I was checked out,” Brown said. “Maybe I’d have said something to coaches that probably rubbed the wrong way, me being young, but I wasn’t wrong. … It’s just we didn’t have older guys in the room who were comfortable enough about speaking out.
“I could talk the way I talk to Lamar, I probably can’t talk to a coach like that. … But for me, I have no regrets.”
After a disappointing 2025 season, the Ravens parted ways with coach John Harbaugh after 18 seasons. They hired ex-Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter as his replacement, starting a new chapter for the franchise.
