The Green Bay Packers are signing rookie defensive tackle Devonte O’Malley among several roster moves on Monday, per Bill Huber of SI.com.

Matt LaFleur’s had a full roster entering Monday, so a corresponding move will be required to add O’Malley. A growing list of injuries likely required general manager Brian Gutekunst to made additions entering the final week of training camp.

O’Malley is an undrafted rookie out of Northern Illinois. He signed with the Tennessee Titans following the 2025 NFL draft but was released on Aug. 3.

O’Malley played 58 games at Northern Illinois, producing 131 tackles and 30 tackles for loss. His 22.5 sacks rank sixth all-time at the school. He also had four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, a blocked field goal, three batted passes and an interception while making 46 starts across five seasons.

O’Malley was the Bronco Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week and the MAC Defensive Player of the Week after producing three tackles for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble and a batted down pass during an upset win over Notre Dame in 2024.

Over 12 games in 2024, O’Malley set career highs with 11.5 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks. He finished his career.

The Packers now have three former Northern Illinois players on the 90-man roster: O’Malley, rookie guard J.J. Lippe and defensive tackle James Ester.
