The WWE security team was forced to jump into action suddenly during this last week’s episode of SmackDown in Berlin. There was an unfortunate situation after a fan jumped over the barrier, and they were called on to get involved before the show had even ended.

WWE SmackDown had an unfortunate fan incident where security had to get involved

The last episode of SmackDown took place on January 9, in Berlin, Germany. The show saw things get out of hand in a big way, as towards the end of the show, where the event was winding up, a fan crossed a line and decided to jump over the barrier.

A video of the moment has emerged, as security rushed in to stop the fan. He was shown being pushed to the ground by security, who then collared him and draggeed him out over the barrier. They tipped him over the barricade, like he was a sack of flour, and then pulled away by multiple security personnel. Thankfully, no star was present in the ring at the time, but Alicia Taylor was heard in the background thanking fans for the show that night.

While some noted that the way the security had handled the fan was rough, it is important to say that given that no one is aware of the intention of the fan, it may have been the safest way to deal with it, as a star could have been attacked.

This is not the first time WWE fans have jumped over the barrier

In the past, stars like Bret Hart and Seth Rollins have faced attacks from fans who have jumped over the barrier.

Rollins was tackled to the ground by a fan whom he held in a headlock until security could remove him.

The Hart situation was even more serious, as during the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, he was tackled to the ground. He was not in his prime at the time, and could have easily been seriously hurt, had it not been for multiple WWE stars and security members getting involved, and the fan being beaten down and taken away from the ring.
